The Project

Pictus is a limited range of acrylic based vivid paints inspired by the feathering palette of exotic birds.

The owners, being huge music fans, discovered that there are a lot of similarities between their bird inspired paint range and the album artworks of their favorite artists, so they decided to mix & tribute.

Because we always enjoy a solid challenge, we dove right into the beautiful world of researching nature throughout history, looking up the hidden meanings that Latin and Greek had in store for us for the naming process and also found out why the Chinese Pheasant is one of the most vividly feathered birds on Earth. All the results from our research were channeled in creating a clean, yet colorful identity and packaging set.
